CAMP QUEST

A summer camping experience for teens and young adults with disabilities.

 

Two-day camping adventure!

Two-day camp held at Beaver Creek Nature Reserve for young adults (ages 14-21) who have various disabilities and reside in Northwestern, WI.

 

What is Camp Quest?

Camp Quest is a summer camp for teens and young adults with disabilities. Why? We have all seen an increasing need for more recreational activities for people with disabilities.

Who is eligible to participate?

Young adults with disabilities, ages 14-21, from the counties of Dunn, Eau Claire, Chippewa, Barron, Clark, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, and St. Croix.

Activities will include, but are not limited to:

Tie-dye custom designed camp shirts

Nature hikes

Dancing

Bonfire for smores

Arts and crafts

Activities provided by Beaver Creek Reserve

Other fun surprises! Camp personnel will include staff from the Center for Independent Living and volunteers, family and friends. Nurses and personal care workers also provided. We are requesting that you provide transportation to and from the Beaver Creek Reserve. Please be at The Beaver Creek Reserve at the main lodge at 10:00 a.m. July 9 for registration. Campers must be picked up at 1 p.m. July 10

When and where?

July 9-10th (Thurs. and Fri.) at the Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek, WI. Camp starts at 10 a.m on July 9 and ends at 1 p.m. (after lunch) on July 10. THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT EVENT SO BRING A SLEEPING BAG AND PILLOW. Bunk beds are provided in the cabins we have reserved. Mattresses can be placed on the floor if needed. Cost? Fee for both days is $50.00. Financial assistance may be available.
