The gift of assistive technology means that you give someone something that they can use to make day-to-day life easier. There are several types of assistive technology that staff at Center for Independent Living for Western Wisconsin would happily demonstrate to you and your loved ones. Some of the most common items we bring out are electronic magnifiers, amplified phones, pocket talkers and alerting systems. Staff are happy to assist in decision making and through the state assistive technology program you will be able to try items out before you move forward to purchase them for your loved ones.
If you’d like to learn more about some different assistive technology options, please contact Jenesis Lindbo, Independent Living Specialist (CILWW), by calling 715-233-1070/800-228-3287 extension 222 or emailing me at jlindbo@cilww.com.
